To promote a healthy lifestyle at the mental, physical, and spiritual levels in the community of students, youth, and adults in the Almaj Valley of Romania.
Objectives:
- to realize the importance of physical, psychological, and mental health by the students studying at schools in Bozovici
- to improve the family environment in terms of relationships, attitudes towards education, and healthy lifestyles
- to help the development of competent teachers in promoting civic education and health programs
- to build a positive attitude toward the preservation of the environment
- to increase the social impact of different types of organizations or institutions within the local community
Our focus:
- 150 Students in school with classes I-VII in Bozovici
- 300 Students from High School (Eftimie Murgu) in Bozovici
- 50 Teachers from The Almaj Valley
-The local community located in the area of the ?Open Hearts? project (Bozovici, Prilipet, Borlovenii Vechi, Moceris, Bania, Eftimie Murgu, etc.)
Activities:
Health Education on the following topics:
- hygiene
- prevention of HIV / AIDS
- the risk of sexually transmitted diseases
- traps and long-term effects of alcohol, tobacco and drug abuse
- counseling families at risk
- medical services for under privileged students and families
- discussion groups with teachers about health education in schools (presentation of materials)
- formal and informal meetings at the level of social institutions and religious organizations
- social camps for people in need
- create an educational center to promote a healthy lifestyle
